PROJECT DESCRIPTION

SDA soluions range from standard range interior downlights to bespoke luminaires for one-off projects. SDA products have been designed, developed and sold around the world, and are installed in some of the most prestigious and exciting buildings. For a custom tasked light, we teamed up with the highly experienced team, aiming to melt various emerging lighting technologies together in one elegant task light.

Design Consulting

The extreme flatness Lightly’s Hikari SQ modules has to offer inspired the fixture designers to let the appearance of the fixture mirror the extreme thinness and elegance of the table light.

Custom Optic Development

Lightly modules are standard equiped with smoothly illuminating surfaces that equally spread the light in all directions. Additively fabricated optics were used to target the light to the particular work spot.

Component Sourcing

Finally, all bits and pieces were brought together. Where possible, the advantages of direct digital manufacturing were chosen above conventional methodologies, which resulted in shorter lead times and faster marketing of the novel concept.
